Cleveland is not far from Indianapolis

so they said we would try to go to the DCI Semi-finals and the finals!!

fucking sucks.

I feel sad this morning and its dumb so I’m going to go for a run.

Meanwhile, last night was great. Richard is a good kid, surviving a shitty high school.

Carolina Crown was on fucking point, third overall, second in music. Sorry Cadets, I just don’t like Christmas music… so I dunno how excited I am to see them play, even when they sound great. The Phantom Regiment show was gorgeous, and I loved the costume change, but lately I keep thinking about the Cadets’ red and white costumes last year which I did NOT think were that novel… I couldn’t get over why people were freaking out and fawning over them, it was nice, but it wasn’t that big of a deal and I hope that doesn’t happen to their costume change, although the guard changing costume won’t be as big of a surprise I think. Well their music and show was on pointe.  I loved The Cavaliers music choices and can’t wait to see the entire thing (even though those pants and jackets annoy me on the guard). Bluecoats also had a great choice in music and I can’t wait to see them improve.

I stand by my decision that Crown should have won last year. No other show has such a huge audience reaction and schools around the nation were taking things from the show all year… I think they got cheated, and I think that the judging is never completely fair, and I hope this year is the year they get some more respect, but I wish it would have started with RachStar. 

Even thought I don’t like this year’s show as much as last year…

With the guard uniforms I’m hoping there will be some surprise music additions… like it’d be cool to have the old superman music in there, and more super hero-y stuff… I hope there’s a lot more to the show…

Well I just went on an AM DCI rant.
