Oh I just got to see this yesterday ^_^
It is so lovely there!
I have to ask french people for expressions about language.
We learned
- “Avoir la langue bien pendue”
- “Avoir un mot sur le bout de la langue”
- “donner sa langue au chat”
- “etre une langue de vipere”
- “etre une mauvaise langue”
- “la langue de bois”
what other phrases do you know about languages.
I think I have heard something like “tu parle comme on vache espagnole.”
and like “j’ai un grenouille dans ma geule”… ???
I am looking out my hotel room and I see it, next to something that looks like a castle.
Now I’m trying to figure out if it was there yesterday or if I only just now noticed it…
halp.
i feel like I should do better since I basically live with windows open.
I am on my way to London.
in the meantime, there are 8 days left for me here in Charleston before I head over to Europe.
So, of course, you should follow my travel/study abroad blog:
I think I can get to Europe about 5 days before I move in, and I’d like to do some travelling.
It’s a really stressful time so I thought I’d go somewhere that speaks English or French.
Right now I’m stuck between London and Paris (I figure beach places like the Riviera or something would be more…
Right now I’m REALLY thinking London.
1. I’ve never been
2. Paris is always a two hour train ride from me in Nantes
3. I might get to visit people
4. LONDON SEEMS SO FUCKING COOL.
I’d like to find a place to stay that is more secure than a hostel, although I may just find a hostel with a single bedroom. I just want to be sure of my stuff’s security, because there’s so much stuff to get through upon arrival…
EE THIS WOULD BE SO COOL IF IT WORKS OUT.
So this is what the dorm room looks like from the inside, apparently.
Seems small, but hopefully cozy.
I didn’t think it was possible to have a dorm smaller than the one I had in Belgium, but this appears to have like one foot by seven feet of floor space lol. AND it looks like the toilet is IN the shower, see what I mean?
But ENOUGH COMPLAINING. It’s better to have a mini fridge than no fridge, and it’s better to be to the north of the city than out of the city at all, and it’s nice to have a toilet to myself. I cannot live in the centre-ville with my massive kitchen based apartment. At least not for a few more years :)
I’m SO SO SO EXCITED, and everything feels better knowing there is a bed for me to rest in!
does it snow by november/december??
