In which I am a pretentious world - traveler: dernier jour d'irffle

well, there are still exams, today was my last day of classes.

In Images we put up our photos, so all Universite de Nantes can go to the bottom floor at la FAC to see me with my belly out and surrounded by food.

And then for my ecriture class, I was literally surrounded  by food.

Everyone brought dishes, many from their home country culture.

We ate so much!!

I had sushi and guacamole and tiramisu and noodles and tarte and rice and madeleines and so much more!

And we danced

and we took photos to commemorate the semester!

so sad to say goodbye

but I guess I have exams tomorrow and thursday to see everyone again ! 

I just got back from the library with Marrian, Joycelen, and Vanessa, our class’s three girls from Ghana.

I was so surprised to see how much information I have retained…

and right now I am day-dreaming about the homemade guacamole Eduardo brought to class.

I think I have an avocado obsession now…

In which I am a pretentious world - traveler: What image most represents Nantes to you?

I should probably explain.

I have a little extra money. For a long while now, I’ve been planning on getting a tattoo to represent my time in Belgium. Since that tattoo is in French, I feel more comfortable having a francophone tattoo artist, and there are a few studios here in Nantes that I’ve had my eye on.

But also, I’m having an amazing time in Nantes, and I kind of want something to represent that as well…

but I’m having a hard time coming up with ideas.

I want my tattoos to be somewhere that people I work with will not be able to see. I will probably get my Belgian tattoo on the right side of my rib cage… so where would I put Nantes?

Also, I don’t want anything TOOOOOO big.

And I haven’t decided color or not.

OR WELL, ANY DAMN THING…

So I was hoping for inspiration.

Some ideas I had were the elephant (although that is probably too detailed), the number 44 (but how to make it cool/interesting?), the flag of bretagne (but debates debates), an umbrella (because it is always raining lol), a LU cookie (also pretty detailed). 

I mean, what do y’all think? 

I am also taking advice about tattoo parlors and artists…
